Cabriolet top...suggestions for keeping it clean?
This weekend we're going on a wildflower tour in the cabriolet that includes some gravel roads. It made me wonder about keeping the top clean, black. and in good nick. Hopefully, we'll have the roads to ourselves, but I can imagine being stuck in a SUV's dust cloud. Should I worry about dust becoming imbedded in the top fabric? Has anyone had experience with the treatments sold for convertible tops?

Frankly - don't over "think" it... a good car wash wand... high pressure rinse.. held diagonally at a angle about 1 1/2 ft from the top ... put a milk-crate or small step ladder in the trunk so you can step "up" to get a good angle .. you "flood clean" water broom anything off the side of the top... "flood clean" ...... best done every 4-6 weeks ... no need for detergent or upholstery protectant..
