I WANT MY 6 CYLINDERS BACK! :)P

It's officially been one year since I traded in my sweet Black 2011 W204 C300 and purchased a 2015 CPO W205 C300.

I LOVE all of the advance features of this car, its great to drive and SPORT+ will sometimes makes me forget; BUT, I absolutely hate that weak sounding, always ticking, FEDEX truck engine sound!!

(good thing I have acoustic glass) :wall:

YOU WIN Mercedes Benz!! I might have to consider a AMG C63 for my next car. :tyson:

THE END. :nix:

I had my 1 year anniversary for MY15 C300 in April. Overall pretty happy with it. For me the C43, CLA 45s, and M340 look very interesting.

C63 isn’t 6 cylinders and thus won’t fill your void (I know you know that)

C63 is a V8 which means the void is filled and overflowing. :D (the C43 options are meh)

Don't knock the C43 until you try it ...with the PSE!. Mine is still breaking in, but sounds fantastic so far.
There are also a few other advantages over the C63:
Insurance is more similar to the C300 (I moved to a '19 C43 from a '12 Audi A4 Avant, and the insurance difference was $0.)
Lease and Finance rates and incentives for the C43 are the same as the C300. The C63 gets much higher rates and no (or at least little) incentive.
4Matic lets you use more of the power in City driving, when the C63 is traction limited. (Or so I hear, since I'm still breaking in)

Ah crap, I will lose my 4Matic?

also the 0-60 rating for the c43 is rather conservative. many are hitting 4.1-4.2 - 60 stock and once tuned with jb4 ($400) specifically 3.7 0-60 is easily attainable with some hitting as low as 3.4 seconds to 60. for most this is all you need. the c63 is a rwd beast though and has plenty of go even at speed, but for most the c63 power is not as usable as the c43 for daily driving situation.

having driven both, you see which one i ended up with as my daily driver in a northern climate. but once i have a hooning 3rd weekend driver, the c63 coupe is at the top of the wish list :)

Yep - If you want 4Matic with a '63, the GLC is the closest option, or find an extra $20k+ and move up to E63's

They're on to me! :rolf:

I got my C300 as a company car and it was going to replace my Z4 3.0i - put it this way, the Z4 is not going anywhere as I can't stand not having a car with a decent sounding engine anymore!

I miss my W203's engine the most. It was nothing special, but was quiet and smooth. I had a W204 C250 with the 1.8L and even though it had less horsepower than the W205 it felt (and sounded) more V6-like to me. I really really dislike the way my W205 sounds and handles compared to the previous two generations. If the W206 isn't tightened up a bit I'm not getting another Mercedes.

you may or may not know but the 2015s have a wrist pin issue. Just got mine back after being at dealer for 1.5 months while they fixed it. Car purrs now. Still direct injection regular noise but no longer Diesel engine sounding. So much better. Plus leaving it unchecked can and probably will cause piston/cylinder damage
