Faded wood trim
Got a 2015 c300. The wood trim on the passenger and driver side door has taken a nasty turn for the worst and is fully discolored. I’m outta warranty though I have the CPO but I doubt it’s covered. Anyone else having this issue? I’m at 63k mileage. Very disappointed

So what you are saying, it that when you purchased your CPO, that there was no fading what so ever. That during your CPO warranty period it is accelerated its fading and is now washed out. That is amazing, where do you live Arizona?
|
That is exactly what I’m saying

Sorry to hear about your wood trim. I was able to buy a whole interior door panel for $40 from a salvage yard. That trim piece was over $100 brand new.

Anyone have a WIS to change the trim? I may just do it on my own

Another option is to buy cheaper door trim panels that just stick over the old trim. Those are all over eBay. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F253931786417 |
If they are really wood, you could try lightly sanding and refinishing-stain, polyurethane.
|
Which type/color of wood trim do you have?
|
The walnut one? I see parts for 180$ a piece thinking about getting and replacing on my own. I’ll post pics when I can

Once you get the door panel off the trim can be popped off easily. There’s plenty of videos on YouTube on removing the door panel. https://youtu.be/IRnu5sRFcQo

Thanks for the tips, just bought the pieces. Hopefully this is a quick fix. Spent 400 on the parts
