adding tweeters
I want to add tweeters to standard location - triangle mirror caps. I've seen these which I think I can make fit in the space but I'm not sure where to find the input wires to the cross overs, no doubt I'll have to remove door card that's not a problem but would I tap off wires for main speaker or some where else also which wires colours.

Haven't put tweeters in yet, but I did speaker swap last week. Btw for those who want a simple upgrade, the Crunch DSX42 in all four doors (~$120) made quite a different on stock HU.
As for the tweeter wiring, you will tap in to the door speaker. For polarity, the wire with the black stripe was negative in my vehicle ('18 C300). If you're not sure, see which pin leads to the capacitor on the back on the stock speaker, which is (+). I would say adding them can only help the paltry stock system.

Thank you for the info, agree anything has to better than the stock system, hopefully get this done in about 2 weeks when I get some time off work, I might even upgrade door speakers at same time. will of course update thread.
