Heated Driver’s Seat & Parking Sensor question

We have a 15’ C300 and was wondering is the driver’s seat suppose to head the back as well? It only heats the bottom. The passenger seat heats both so I thought that was kind of odd. Could someone clarify if this is normal or not?

Also the car has the front/rear parking sensors built into the plastic bumper trim pieces, but have never heard them go off or useful in anyway. Are these just dummy senors? The car does not have the driver assist package. Thought this was weird as well.

Other than that, the car has been great!

Hmm, do you have the round sensors in the bumpers as well? And do you have the driver assist package?

Round sensors on both bumpers. I don’t think I have drivers assist. I do have Blind Spot Assist and Parktronic. Do you have a parking distance display light on the ceiling next to the rear glass?

Sorry I guess I should have said parktronic. No the car appears not to have this option.

Here are the senors I am referring to. Wonder if these are just for the collision warning system that goes off randomly for the most part!

There's a little panel on the left side of the dash where the switches to turn on and off various accessories such as the Parkotronic, HUD etc, If there are no buttons then you don't have Parkotronic. If you have it there'll be a button with a little ICON. As for those things in the fascia and rear valence, that's where the sensors get installed if you get Parkotronic.
and yes, the seat back should hear up.

Thanks for the helpful info! I’ve never had to deal with a partially heated seat before, Guess the dealer will have to take a look.

I think those are where the sensors would go if you had the parktronic. I have the same thing on my jaguar F-pace and I asked the dealer and they said they put the sensor cut outs in all the cars so they can use the same bumpers on every trim level regardless of if it has the parking assist or not.

The front is for preventative braking, the rear is for parking (even if you don't have parking, its just like that)

As far as heated seats go, YES the back should heat. Mine also just went out on me.

The heater pad is about $120 for the rear, and the labor is 3-4 hours maybe? It's a nightmare to do and in my case the dealership got so mad at it that they just replaced the entire rear shell with new one lol

Also with winter coming up you can get ice on the front sensors and a warming comes up that says something scary like "BRAKEY SYSTEM BROKE YOU GONE DIE read owner manual" that just means there's ice on it.

If you have rear you will see the LED light car at the rear of the car. For the front there is no LED light bar however you should hear a beep if you get close to something.
