Which MAP PILOT SD Card product is compatible?
Hi,
I have a 2014 W205 that came with a map card showing "Garmin MAP PILOT Europe 2014 Version 2.1". It's well out of date now and I need an update. Ebay seems to be full of cheap, apparently legitimate Mercedes map cards.
However I don't know which one I need for my car. A lot of them specifically say 'C-Class not supported'. Can anyone offer any advice?

Before you do anything, get hold of "Mercedes Download Manager" and put your SD card in to that. I was quite surprised that it gave a free 20/21 update for my 2014 card that was previously loaded with 2016 maps. If yours is an early car it will also give you a software update to match the rest of the display rather than the childlike Garmin interface.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it didn't work. I must have the oldest map version in a W205 out there?!

This is the advice - message the eBay vendor with the VIN# for your Mercedes - then the vendor emails you back it their item is compatible or not - and when they say yes - you buy the bloody card eBay cheap..

You can get an update SD card from your Mercedes dealer for £99 with three years live traffic.
The SD card software was changed mid 2017 so make sure if you buy from another source it is compatible with the earlier version.
