Can't find an annoying 'part' (don't know what to look for)
 

Hi guys - I have a frustrating problem that I could reeeally do with some help with, I hope I'm in the right place!

The silver border of the lid within the center console of my car, around the lid of the cup holder area (i have included an image), well that silver/chrome material has peeled in a couple of areas and I want to get it replaced, but there isn't a particular part for this. I don't know what the material is or what to search for, the closest think i could find was a vinyl wrapping material, but i think it's too soft for this.

Any ideas what I should be looking for? I even though about replacing the whole console but it's probably overkill. but after looking into wraps I might actually wrap the center console anyway to cover up the scratches (it looks a lot worse in the picture than it really is).

Hi i attached a picture of the subject part and its part number. You can also buy it from ebay. Make a search for cup holder box frame for mercedes w205. If you want to buy oem you get it from your dealer. Good luck.
