if it fits back into place but just pops back out its probably a broken clip or tab. you should be able to replace the cover they come color matched, check eBay.
you could use a dab of silicone on the back/edge to hold it in place too, I have mine glued in on my aftermarket diffuser.

thanks for the info. The fact that it is popped out and can’t get in place make me think why it was pooped at the first place. My teenager took it to run an errand. Worried if something happened at that time. I asked him and he said he is not aware of any incident.
