Problem with RPM needle on analog instrument cluster

Hi everyone, I'm hoping you can help me. I removed the analog instrument cluster from my car (needles included) to install a digital one, but a few days ago it started giving me problems. I reinstalled the original analog cluster, but once it was back in place, the tachometer needle isn't working. It's not registering anything and is slightly below the numbers.

Can anyone tell me what might have happened? Does it need to be reprogrammed or calibrated or something? It's only the tachometer needle that's malfunctioning.

I didn't know that would also need reprogramming.
It's strange, the needle isn't moving at all, it's stuck and below the numbers.

Your original tach no longer respond after being simply swapped back into car.
This module must be SCN matched to chassis.
None of this is "plug and play" friendly with module swapping.

The ICluster module is often acting as a local gateway for other remote modules. Installing aftermarket module is guaranteed to yield surprising results

Your CAN-B tach needs help from CGW module to reach the ECU CAN-C Module for Rpm data.

To get back to a stable base status, scan all the chassis modules to understand what's currently happening then go about clearing active issues.

Hello, good morning. Thank you for your response, but there are some things I don't understand; I'm not an expert.

1. What do you mean by installing a replacement module? I understand, then, that the original one will no longer work?

2. Will it need coding with diagnostics for the RPM needle to function properly again and connect to the ECU?

3. I understand that it's not a problem with the small motor that makes the needle move? It's all a diagnostic issue, right?
Thank you and best regards.

You had an IC replacement IC installed and now the original unit no longer works well.

What's going on now is non standard and not directly obvious to most of us. You'll best need to diagnose what's gone wrong with your car.

Beside what I already contributed earlier..., the best answer may come from the support company that sells these upgrade units. Ask them the procedure to revert back to prior working stock setup.
