Also, why would MBUSA be experiencing the challenges? Mercedes Benz is a German car manufacturer. I would think the challenge is originating there, and the effect may be felt by MBUSA?

Hopefully, this is a temporary challenge. I would like to have those 2 options on the new C-Class. The car isn't due here in the US until next year so perhaps the issue will be resolved by then? Time will tell.

Hard to say, and depends on your relationship with your dealer. It's probably harder to get a discount nowadays though.

The computer chip shortage is really having a negative impact on supply. I drove by my local MB dealer the other day and their lot was almost empty. In normal times, it was always over stuffed with cars.

I guess whatever is standard. There is another sound system, "Advanced Sound System", that is above the standard system, but below the Burmester. I don't think that is being offered on the new C.

It's not just Mercedes...it's virtually all car dealerships in the city where I live. And, they are marking vehicles up from the MSRP because of the shortages in inventory.
I ordered a '22 C Class in August and was told that production would start in January. The dealer just told me last week that production will not start now until March. I am weighing my options and just may cancel the order at this point. My current lease will be up in December, and I was told that I could extend it month to month, but it may be too much of an uncertainty at this point to do that.
