Rear tinting issues - due to moisture in trunk
Hi All,
I understand reading from existing thread that certain models of C300 had issues as a result of the water entering the electronics in the rear trunk. I think the issue had been addressed in cars produced after June (not sure exact date)
Wondering if anyone has encountered similar issues on more recently produced C300's?

To answer your question if anyone has encountered similar issues on more recently produced ones, yes. Thankfully, if you go to a shop that has experience with this and takes enough precautions, you will likely be fine.

Thanks - I was referring to a article that was linked in the thread you had shared - Post #78.
Like you said - I guess would probably have to take it to a place that has experience with similar models. Taking it back to the dealer for Tint is expensive!

From what I heard, some dealerships actually refuse to offer tinting for the W206 until they have performed this cover retrofit, I don't think they trust themselves either.
