Car stopped greeting me, apple car play glitches
I feel bad complaining about this with all the problems in the world...
But my car has had several glitches since I purchased. Apple CarPlay randomly disconnects from my phone and when I turn the car on it doesn't always play music I have to manually press play. Also, the car use to greet me when I turned it on "Hello Jane". It no longer does that.
Has anybody experience this? Not sure how to fix, the dealership updated the software last week and that honestly may be the issue.

This is less to do with Mercedes as much as it has to do with Apple CarPlay - it's honestly crap. Make sure you're on the latest version of iOS as I understand there was a significant bug that was not resolved until 16.1 (and I don't know if it was actually resolved). The performance of CarPlay is going to be dependent on your phone (hardware) and version (software).
I recently switched to iPhone (14 Pro) from Android (Google Pixel). I connect to three (3) cars regularly - one Mercedes - and I've never had Android Auto fail or bug out; whereas, I've had Apple CarPlay bug out regularly on two of the vehicles.
If you're going to use MBUX natively then make sure you remove the CarPlay settings so it doesn't attempt to connect.
Edit: You can first forget the car play settings, then reconnect/reconfigure. If it still occurs then my statement above is still accurate.

If that doesn’t work, remove the phone from both MBUX and CarPlay in iOS settings. Then, re-pair.
