Any 2023s out there with DA2 package? Is it worthwhile?

I'm trying to find a black 2023 C300 but I can't find any regionally that have the DA2 package (Driver's assistance). Is there something about this package that is prohibited in the U.S. or is it just a bunch of safety features that no one wants to pay extra for and therefore, isn't in the cars that dealers get?

I think it's a great value. Safety has no price.
I custom ordered mine with it. Hopefully I will get it in February.

Its simply the price point. Many people buying this class of car are new to luxury and are not looking to spend lots on options. Driver’s Assistance is completely worth it though in my opinion, will just be hard to find without custom building it.

I plan on including in when I order mine next week. Target build is mid March so it better be there. I will not take it if it doesn't have it.

Well I really can't fathom how it can be ready in March if you order next week. Right now the wait in North America is around 6 months.

That package is not part of the normal build. You will probably have to custom order or find a car that was custom built and not sold.

I don't know why dealers don't order cars with them, but they just don't. For me it's a must have, but I would have to specia, order. But it's $1700, plus $650 for the nav, so on a car that's "only" 50k, it shows a little more.

In general it just doesn't seem to be something in high demand for the average consumer who just buys a car off the lot and doesn't do much research. For example, on the 2021 E Classes. the heated steering wheel couldn't be had wothout DA2. Just a weird restriction. In my area in the northeast, most 2021 E350s had DA2 - because a heated steering wheel is very desired and in high demand here. For 2022, that restrictoin was dropped and with it there are far fewer DA2 cars as they can still have the heated wheel without it now.

That being said, trying to find a DA2 E Class or GLE just a few years ago was nearly impossible and they're now quite common, so I expect that in a few more years, the C Class and GLC will start seeing the occurance of DA2 signigificanly increase. In 2017, maybe 3% of Es and GLE had DA2 and now it's maybe 30%. I think we're at the 3% place with Cs and GLCs now, and by 2025 or 2026 maybe C classes will be much easier to find with this package.

As others have said, dealerships don't order this option on inventory cars as unless somebody specifically wants it, it just increases the price of the car. The package is only worth it if you plan on using the features it comes with such as adaptive cruise control and autonomous steering and traffic congestion assistant etc. If you never gonna use those advanced features then the package isn't worth it. It does make the standard safety systems more capable, but most people don't know that. The package adds better cameras and additional sensors which as a side effect enhance the standard collision detection systems etc.

This. If you aren't planning on using the adaptive cruise and steering it isn't really worth it. Only extra safety feature is lane departure and most people don't like how it works.
Every time I do a custom order I ask if the customer wants the driver assist pkg. Most turn it down.
