I have found lately that in multiple threads in and out of this CLS forum; members are asking about my resonator delete. So I am reviving this for those who dont like to search
And I dont yet have a drive by vid but Ill tell you this- its far more impressive than the start up sound. If any of you enjoy sound and a more throat racey exhaust then this is a must, simple, cheap, no powerloss mod.

After seeing Neosky's post about removing the resonator with Pepe in Long Beach, I felt it was necessary as well. I have taken my other AMG's there for some work and I know he does an excellent job. I chose to go with a straight pipe in place of the resonator (see pics) and I truly believe the video/sound doesnt do the car justice. This is the only exhaust mod on the car: resonator removal.
I was quite shocked after the removal to see how much sound I gained; its a good gain and I really like the way the car sounds now. Its very aggressive but not so much in lower RPMs circa 2k. But when you open it open it roars. Rather impressive for just a resonator removal in my opinion. Whats funny is when I start it up it has the powerful bark but after a few seconds it calms down a bit to a light purr. The throttle blips really showcase this mod too- the car is loud. This M157TT continues to amaze me.
The video might need to be turned up a bit just an FYI. And my apologies for the gap between idle and throttle presses. I was hoping to do some drive by's but that will happen another time.

This is awesome and must get done ASAP! Quick question good sir, was there any drone in the cabin and did you get any ECU error codes?

Bumping this, anyone else do this? My trust exhaust recommended this be the first thing I do.
Also for the pipes do you guys recommend 3" or 3.5"
Thanks
