Playtime!
Here are a few comments about my life above 4000 rpm:
1. The thing can really pull harder than my tuned C63 but it feels less raw, more contained. To me, this is a bit of a downer as I wish I could get as much thrill as my previous car. I don't care much about the fact that the cls63 is faster on the chrono, I'm all about the thrill. Maybe I should give a call to Renntech after all...
2. The sound of the engine is even better, louder than the 6.3 NA at high rev. I'm almost scared to remove the resonators like some of you did.
3. The MCT is real fast but a bit harsh under full load as it doesn't slide at all in between gears...which is a good thing I guess.
4. This is my first car with a lsd. It's so great to step on the gas pedal without skidding (at least while the tires are still new). Cannot imagine that much torque without it, especially in ESP sport.
5. The hardest suspension setting is a must under full load, the in-between S setting is not hard enough to keep the car from getting off balance. So if you're wondering why you would take the performance package when you can get an ecu flash instead, consider this and the lsd.
6. For long distance highway driving, the super high torque at low rev is incredibly enjoyable as you don't need a big kickdown (and stress out the wife) to pass other cars and lose them in the dust. Great comfort with great performance...this is the value proposition of this car after all.
7. Regarding the transmission setting, S+ is quite responsive and has become my favorite setting for highway driving, for both acceleration and slowing down. M is my favorite for everything else. I see the point of the C setting for quiet driving. I don't see the point of the S setting at all...not yet I guess.
8. The transmission overall is much smoother now than it was in the first 1000 km. The first gear is not meant to be used for compression unless the engine revs at 3000 rpm or above.
9. I kinda like the Eco mode in rush hour traffic (love the silence when the engine shuts down) but it can get quite annoying when the car is still for only a second or two or when stopping on a stop sign.
10. The stability of the car is just amazing under all kinds of driving conditions (aggressive, cornering, highway, ...). The car is trying to reassure you as opposed to kill you like my previous C63 did sometime.
Turns her into a monster...

This is going to end up in my garage as a race car I think while I go grab a GTR for day to day..

I'll drive her another couple of weeks before making a decision on the ecu...I'm afraid I won't be able to avoid it. It's a one week process here as my ecu would need to be shipped to the US then shipped back...maybe I'll buy an extra ecu from MB.
getting a V1 hardwired in first, hehe......new wheels should be here any day now too....
been roasting these tires every chance I get haha......
modding is a nasty new addiction for me too

I have KW springs sitting in the garage, Brabus paddle shifters on the bar and
HREs on the way.
Talking to Rob @ Vivid about an intercooler and brakes as well...
Getting her ready for a track day on June 9th....
