What's Resonator delete setup?
Hey guys,
Considering deleting the resonator but curious is there any drone? Is it considerably louder? Anyone have any in cabin clips? Are you guys just putting straight pipes in place of the resonator? I believe the resonator has a built in crossover. Anyone do a h pipe or x pipe? |
This means that the resonator is taken out and a straight pipe is welded where the resonator is.
It causes drone but also increases the sound. I would highly recommend doing a axle back muffler unit which will increase the sound but not the drone. |
yep something definitley needs to be done with the exhaust. at times it was hard to stay awake during llonger trips, it was that quiet.
anyone make any exhausts for the cls without changing the rear tips? it needs to be AT LEAST TWICE as loud. wonder if this will be addressed with the 2015 model??? |

Great mod to get more aural pleasure. I did it and there was no cabin drone. It is simple enough to do (couple of hundred bucks at your local shop) that if you don't like you can change it back.
