Moving to Lotus!
I have been looking for the best sports car (for me) over the last 8 months or so and I found it in a Lotus Evora S. If you want to know the story that led me to this unusual car and see a few picture, just follow the link below.

All of this means that my CLS63 is getting to its last winter in my hands. I'm quite excited with the new Lotus but I can't help to feel a bit sad of getting rid of the CLS. The upcoming AMG GT could have been an option but I loved the Lotus so much when I tried it...
I'll have a full set of OEM rims with winter tires to get rid of in the spring. I'll post again in a few months but let me know if any of you are interested.

I considered Lotus in the past but never made it that far, that's a great looking car, but I know you'll miss the good ole' CLS, good luck with the new fun!

Thanks. This car is just incredible to drive (and good looking as a bonus). Obviously not in the same category of the CLS63 which can be both a comfy Mercedes and a neck snapping car. The Lotus is best at what the CLS is not so good at...involvement.

Thanks. Spruce are not so usual around Toronto...needed to drive a bit to get some scenery for a photo shoot. What about you, are you sticking to your CLS or are you having other ideas? Upcoming AMG GT maybe?

Thanks! The attention I'm getting on the street is a bit overwhelming... everywhere I go, I get the thumbs up, kids running after the car, a police car stopping by my driveway to ask me what make it is, the gas station staff getting out of their convenience store…most people don't know what kind of car it is but they feel it's special I guess. I even got an old lady in the neighbourhood congratulating me on my new "Ferrari"...I took this as a compliment.

A guy in my community just picked up a white Evora S and man this thing looks great. It looks truly exotic. I may need to test drive one of these how's the aftermarket support, tune, exhaust etc?

Oh yeah. Although the number of suppliers for each part might be lower given that these cars are not in large supply. There are at least two decent shops for ecu and air intake upgrades, 3 or 4 for exhausts, manifold, decat pipe and so on.

Thanks! Bad news is the Lotus goes to winter storage this week. Really incredible driving excellent experience. BTW, have you ended up tuning your CLS ecu? You were considering Renntech or Kleemann at one point.

I actually had Switzer Performance install their P700 package. It consists of: Switzer high flow exhaust, high flow air filters, Switzer ECU calibration and Switzer catless down pipes. The car is a beast and sounds incredible. I finally decided to use Switzer because I know everyone there and they've done a fair amount of work on my GTR. I never started a thread about it here out of respect for forum sponsors.
