Safety recall 2012-2015 CLS
NHTSA Recall # 15V137
per the recall notice,
"DAG has determined that the level of illumination of the rear tail lamp side markers in your vehicle might be below the required level permitted by FMVSS 108 due to software coding issue which leads to the non-activation of certain LED's"

I went to the dealer here in Honolulu, they said they need the car all day to download the software from Germany. It was there for over an hour and I had to leave. Really? Can't download the software to computer THEN upload to needed vehicles? I don't like going to dealerships either, but this is still under warranty till 2016.

Yeah, like the other guy who recently went to a dealer to have some clips put in for the trim pieces in the engine compartment per a recent recall, and something else ended up getting messed up and the car had to be there over night and possibly several days.

My sled is going in in two weeks for regular service and this recall. Anyone know if the computer flash will overwrite my DVD in Motion "upgrade"? I'm expecting to have to reinstall the software.
