This is from Renntech but should be able to give you a good idea of what to do. I installed the RW and it took a bit to get it to sit flush but I finally got it. Have someone help. Screw the sides of the diffuser behind the rear wheels too. This will keep it from popping out from under the bumper.

Take your time removing the rivets and clips as you can easily rip the plastic attachment pieces under the bumper.

Good luck!

I'd lie if I said it was easy but it took a good 40 minutes to get it in there correctly.

After everything was stripped off I mounted from the rear to position it and then while someone was holding it in place, started at one end and worked my way to the other.

Like I said before, the biggest thing to keep the middle from popping out was the screw behind the wheels.

One goes up from the ground, the second goes in from the side of the same piece that's on the outer left and right sides.

Also, it may or may not help, but keep it out in the sun for a bit. I think it may give it a little more flex.

I've got a body shop quoting me $500 to install the RW carbon front lip, OEM style CF trunk spoiler and the diffuser. It sounds like a fair price to me. What do you guys think?

Mapkos

Did u use 4-5 screws underneath in the fins and drill them into the trunk spare tire area. As the instructions mentioned.

I think I did three up through the trunk and then used a not to hold them into place.

Two on each side and then the screws in the middle that went into trunk.

OK. Cool so u didn't have to do anything along the top of the bumper line where the tabs at to prevent any gapping. The issue we are having in the e63 forum.

I'm told by Matt at RW that if you don't remove the bumper, you will have issues with gapping. You need to remove the bumper to get to the tabs.

Hey guys, I didn't remove the bumper. I could certainly see after all of the work trying to get it to sit correctly, how it would've made it easier. Maybe it was just dumb luck that I got it to sit right?

Like I said. Definitely a two person job and if you have three, even better.

This way you can have a person on each side holding it flush while you're scecuring it on the bottom.

Also remember, if you pull the bottom to "tight" that is too far forward before screwing in, it will work like a hinge and pull the tabs away from the middle bumper where it would sag.

If you aren't going to remove the bumper the trick IMO, is to pull tight but also secure it upwards if that makes sense? I couldn't get it to sit flush either at first. It kept popping out in the middle until I screwed the side screws in behind the wheels. Not going up from the ground but out to the sides.

Matt from RW Carbon tells me they have revised the tabs on the diffuser and I'm the first to receive one. Unfortunately, I'm no longer going forward with the install because the front lip is too low for my neighborhood speed bumps (they are killer). I don't feel right just installing the rear diffuser without the front lip as I don't think the car would look balanced.

Any chance u can post a pic of the screwes you placed from the sides. Are u talking about the one using the original bumpber screw. Because that one goes up from ground right .
