W218 AMG Aftermarket Styling Guide

Hello all,

You may have noticed our aftermarket style guides for some of the other Benz models. We figured it is only right to make one for the W218 AMG. Honestly, this will be one of the more challenging guides, considering the car already looks and performs great. However, we have a few aftermarket options available for the CLS63.

1) Wheels: On the CLS I would go with a 19" or 20" wheel. BBS has 19" and 20" flow form options available. For a monoblock wheel, 360 Forged offers concave styles that fit well with the 63. For a multi-piece wheel, you have to go with RSV Forged. They have awesome contemporary designs that definitely enhance the CLS styling...and they look great with 305s.

2) Suspension: The easiest way to lower the vehicle is with links. We have lowering links for the CLS that are fully adjustable to your preferred ride height.

3) Performance: There are performance exhaust systems available for the W218. Meisterschaft offers a few options for the vehicle which include a racing system, a valve controlled system, and a 100% titanium system. You have the option of custom exhaust tips as well.

4) Styling: I would recommend simple upgrades like trunk spoilers and front lip spoilers. Custom steering wheels are another simple upgrade. For something that is a little more unique, the Prior Design Black Series style kit is absolutely awesome. It makes the CLS look more aggressive than it already is.

5) Carbon Fiber: Interior parts and exterior parts can both be overlayed in 100% genuine carbon fiber. We have experience with composites and can help bring your custom carbon fiber design to life. There are many different carbon fiber fabrics that we have access to other than traditional black twill.

We look forward to seeing what some of you come up with when styling your CLS. Hopefully this guide gives you enough information to start your next project.

On the W218, links only work in the rear. You still need to do a shorter spring setup or coilover in the front.

You are right. I just remembered to mention the front coilover sleeves. Everything you need for lowering the w218 is available here. http://konceptcars.com/mercedes-benz...-lowering-kit/
