2012 CLS63 PP fan running constantly

2012 CLS63 PP fan running constantly

So today is 80* here in Dallas...went to get in it and as soon as the car registered the key fob the cooling fan kicked on immediately and loudly... it continuously ran on HIGH the whole time driving to Starbucks and back. Any one else have this problem?? Car only has 46K miles

yes! Eurocharged tune....currently having issue with the tune (going on a month now) fluctuating temp gauge so I'm curious if that's the case, but why just now???..... and throwing CEL P2093 (camshaft position actuator control circuit high bank2b)....they are working on fixing the issue tho

A fellow DFW CLS!! The temp thing I had an issue with on my 2012. The issue was from my K&N when first installed had a ton of oil on it which gummed up the sensors. I cleaned out the intake and sensors and all was good. Also check the ambient sensor in the grille. As far as the CEL check your driver side rear cylinder head. There will be a wiring harness that goes to the sensor. There's a bulletin for that sensor leaking oil and messing up some things. If you are local I can check it out really quick and see if we can get it resolved without the dealer being that you are tuned. Hope that helps!

I bought a 2012 cls63 amg from the auction, the fan is running whenever I start the car, and it’s driving me crazy, the car does have k&n filters. I don’t know if the car is turned, but I don’t think so Do you think it’s the MAF ? I don’t have CEL , and the car is running well. Thanks for your help in advance

it turned out that it was my tune that was causing the fan running constantly, it’s now been resolved but I’d definitely do the above as TTMerc had mentioned, especially the K&N filters gumming up sensors.

I checked my fan on my friend’s car and it worked fine so it’s not the fan. Do you know where is the mass airflow sensor located? Any pictures? And agine I don’t CEL, thsnks
