hmm for salvaged title its tricky Im not sure where the pricing would be at
but me personally I would feel much safer buying a clean title with higher mileage
the cost difference shouldn't be major and you'll have more peace of mind for sure. however if you are sure about this salvaged one, nothing wrong with that but I would even try to negotiate it lower than $26k either way its an amazing car if you are ready for its cost of ownership

I'm thinking of getting either a cls63 or ml63. not really sure which to go for, but either works for me as long as its AWD and 2014. I've been seeing a bunch of them and not sure if High miles are okay to get. in the same boat here.

to be honest as a long term m157 owner I would totally get a higher mileage one at a lower cost than a lower mileage one. As long as you get a pre purchase inspection. I’m not sure if you need the size of the ML but if not I would definitely choose the awd CLS

Thanks for the quick reply. I need a lot more info on this car. I originally came from the idea of getting a Panamera on to this CLS scene. Now I can't stop.. trying to figure out which to buy. I don't know about pre-purchase inspection. Who would do it? Also, was thinking of trying to get either a CPE vehicle or seeing if MB offers an inspection and warranty for a premium price. not sure where to start.

Just curious if any other fellow CLS63 or other m157 owners are on here and how high is your mileage, do you plan on keeping it and if so how long?
I'm asking because my 12 CLS63 is getting kinda high in miles (90k) I am new to mercedes but I have taken really good care of the car all maintenance is up to date I am just trying to get a feel for how long people keep these are they built to last? they seem like they are but keep in mind ive been dailying this car
I am debating if its getting close to the time I trade it in or sell it to get a newer mercedes. what do you guys think? or should I keep it until the wheels fall off?
im not implying in any way that i'm afraid of it breaking down or dying any time soon just tryna see what most people do with theirs.
let me know
thanks

This is a great question and it is the same question I have been asking myself. This car is such a great car in ALL aspects (whether it is reliability, performance, comfort) that you shouldn't sell it. At first, I was thinking that maybe if I have more money down the line, ill trade it in for a newer one. But then again, I was thinking if I DO have that kind of money to get a newer one, then I'll just get a newer one without trading my cls63. My current CLS63 will be my experimental car/ daily driver because I would tune the living crap out of it (to over 700hp and over 830lb ft torque), while I baby my new car.
So to answer your question, forget the high miles, it is an amazing car and mileage means nothing if you maintain it right..so keep it in your "collection" of cars. When you are ready for a new car, get it without trading this one (unless you really really don't have enough down payment for new car or your current car starts getting really serious probems). That's what i'll do.

Same here my guy. We have similar taste. My other car is a 1998 Ls400 currently 245k miles on it and still running strong that is my VIP build. plan to keep it forever. I
ve also owned a g35 coupe and I also came to mercedes after owning a bmw 335i e92 but the AMG is definitely by far my favorite

i actually looked into a GS-F prior to this. I just can’t get past Lexus using the same engine from my IS-F in it. Incredibly disappointing. It was a great engine in 2008...with aftermarket exhaust and headers. Not so much in 2018 in a car weighing 500 lbs more.

I'm at 106k mi. It's a daily and I track it every 2 weeks or so. Has a tune, plugs and air filters. I'm going to do the cam sensors since it's a 2012 but no issues with it at all. Used to get misfires occasionally when going WOT while already at highway speeds. Plugs seemed to fix that issue. Only things I do is basic fluid maintenance.
I love this car, but it's getting sold when the price of the GT 4 door is down around what I got this one for.

Hope our 2016 CLS AMG S does as good, it only has 25K miles on the clock right now and we just did a full maintenance service (oils/fluids/fuel/filters) so we should
be good for quite a while...
