Recently had a flat.........on my rear 305 from vandalism! Fawking sux............has anyone used the spare before? It's the kind you have to pump up, but it's so old I didn't want to ride on it! Anyone have any thoughts?

I’ve had two flats on my CLS in a year, one time I was able to get it home and the other I just flatbedded it. I can’t stand the shame of driving on a donut. If you ever want to spare those P40SC’s from the vandals in NC I am here for them.

Thanx for the reply! I like these wheels The wheel made it through unbent so I was happy about that. Discount tire took such good care of me too! LOVE Discount tire!! The ****** keyed my front 1/4 panel, the door and my headlamp......it isn't noticeable but being that I can't stand it I'm going to have to have them fixed........probably let the headlamp be because those things are EXPENSIVE! I wouldn't care about driving on a spare, doughnut, but the thing has been in there since 2012 unused......is it even safe?

That’s a long time for the rubber to dry out, you might be well off to get a new one. Having that blow out would be really bad.

I used mine today to replace the offside rear. I pumped it up to 50 psi and drove it 150 miles home this morning, very carefully at max 50 mph down the M1 motorway in the UK. I had little choice. Changed it myself at a services, where they had an air pump. I stopped several times on the journey to check it, but no visible issues, so I kept going. It is still holding 50 psi. I felt more comfortable with it as a rear tyre, because it would take less braking load than a front in an emergency, and I could choose to be gentle about the acceleration. I'm still going to limp into work with it for the next couple of days, until I can get a replacement Michelin PS4 sent.

Sorry to hear about the flat......do you run a 305 rear or 295? How old was the spare? Thank you for the reply! Good luck!

I had a bad wheel on my e63s and I used the donut.
Works just fine, mine was 5 or 6 years old. Update: ruined a rear tire two days ago. Pumped the donut up to 51 lbs, drove it home no problem.
