CLS63 AMG (W218)
Please start more quietly...
Does anyone know a way to take control of the exhaust valves on a stock AMG exhaust for a W218? I want to start the car quieter, on demand.
Currently it is the same loudness as this guy's, which is stock:
I love the car, and I love the noise. Problem is, I'm often leaving the house at 6 am, and I'm conscious of rattling my neighbours' windows where I live in London. It would be great to be able to programme it. At the moment my best tactic is to snick it straight into gear and creep away which suppresses the noise just a little.

Welcome to the forums. That's very considerate of you Sir. Perhaps try explaining to thy neighbor the situation and see what their thoughts are. Chances are your polite gesture will neutralize the entire concern and off you go! Is your car on the street or in a garage? I honestly can't think of any easy, inexpensive fix for this besides......neighborly understanding

I’ve just picked up a 16 and have been looking into what all I’d like to do it for it. I was just on Eurocharged’s website and it looks like they can remove the cold start for you if you buy a tune.
