Question What is really important?????

I know cross posting is not permitted but-----What is really important; engine mods, body kits, big wheels, lowering kits, etc. Think about it for a moment, look at all of the people who are now homeless, and who are now separated from their families. Is the mod to your car all that important; I certainly hope not!!!! I just made a significant personal contribution to the relief fund and a substantial contribution from my company. Don’t you think a few of your mod dollars would be better spent in helping another human being in need? It is obvious that you can afford a substiantially priced car what about helping another person in need????

Smile Don't Feel Guilty!

lkirchner - I truly sympathize with your feelings about the Katrina Victims that have had this horrible thing happen to them. The reality is that our whole social / economic system depends on consuming goods and services and part of those activities involves talking about relative pricing, quality, and performance enhancement, of those goods and services, with your friends and acquaintances.

So I say keep up the consumer habits, however if you have the ability to help those in need then do what you can to help while going about your normal social / economic activities. And most importantly do not feel "Guilty". Turn that energy into something productive so GNP will rise and more taxes will be collected and more Tax $$ will be available to help the Katrina victims - Bob

Bob,
Trust me I am singularly, with the help of my wife, pumping up the GNP in addition to sharing my fortunate financial situation with those in need.

I kinda feel like I am being scolded for buying things when others cannot.
This guy really assumes alot. How does he know we all haven't helped the Katrina victims in are own way.
This post is pointless in this forum. Get off your high horse and post some pics of your cars. Do something good for the forum! Instead of yelling at people for modding there cars when there are others that are poor.

I don't see much point in yelling at a fellow car enthusiast for talking about cars on a car forum. Do you honestly beleive that we're all not deeply moved by the tragedy unfolding in That part of the country and willing to help? One has nothing to do with the other, IMO
