Need Ur Opinion: Cls63 Or M6?
By different class I meant coupe vs. sedan. And as much as people like to call the CLS a sedan, the manufacturer classifies it as a coupe and that's what I'm going with.
Are you sure you have a CLS? Let's see some pix. Cause if you'd sat inside both cars and driven them both you'd never say that.
As far as I am concerned they only share an engine, transmission, and brakes. That's about it.
You are talking about superficial stuff, the stiching of the consolse, the 4 seats etc. Im talking about drive train , transmission, suspension etc... Underneath they are virtually the same, right down to minute details

Think he mentions its 40% stiffer then E class some where
As for choice again its preference, but some one did mention the reliability of the SMG box :-(. Also i like the m5 over m6 looks, did not a few months back but now i dig m5 way more. m6 from the front looks unhappy and not mean, whereas the m5 from the front is growing on me lots and so is its rear. CLS wins on the 'on looker department' i think

40% quicker steering rack and stiffer suspension were put on the E55 starting from MY2006
, the CLS class enjoyed the above 'benefits' from MY2005
, where is this mentioned
?Also I think it’s not just the suspension that is stiffer in the CLS, the body is also made stiffer over the E

Just Kidding, nice ride
All joking aside, do you really drive that car with those weather conditions. I didnt think that you could even put chains on that car. If you can just put that baby away for weeks at a time when the weather is bad, than you my friend are a far better man than I. You would probably find me stuck somewhere or wrapped around a tree.

Well, actually, the best time for the M5 was 13.074(2nd run) but the CLS55 had a better time of 12.752(2nd run).
back to the original question:
Go for the M6 if you want performance 1st and luxury 2nd, but if you want the reverse, go for the CLS63...new technology is usually better.

looks like the video in its entirety has been removed. In that vid i remember the m5 is faster once they use its fastest mode. someone else may remember it or it may get put up elsewhere.
Just yesterday I passed a beautiful black 6 series with very hot chrome rims. I find the 6 is the best looking car in the BMW lineup, next being the new gen 7 iL series (would have been cool to have a m7 w/ 600+ hp). I think what it will boils down to is that both cars are about the senses and emotions. Outside, Inside and on the road. Get the car that moves you emotionally. The differences are very slim and if you make a list of what you want, you will see a clear choice for you.
Mine choices were:
1) I wanted a daily driver
2) A car that looked great inside and out, drivers seat or back
3) Tons of thrust, i love s/c cars, dont care if I win/lose by a 1/2 car length
Other things on the cls were just pluses, adaptive bright headlights, hugh trunk, big gas tank (I hate stopping every mile), being able to take 4 adults (sometimes need 5, but i can live without), etc. I dont know if anyone notices, but I love the way all the lines and seams on the body panels flows from one to the next. No broken lines anywhere (on the inside too).
