I know a good shop in Arcadia, I'm headed there soon... he does a good job and has ceramic (non metallic tint). If you want the higher end 400-500$ stuff you'll have to go elsewhere...

I got my tint at a shop on Artesia blvd, right across from the Galleria Mall in Redondo Beach. They did a perfect job and I would definitely go back. They used a high end tint and it cost me $160 cash for all 7 windows.
I know that you want to spend a little more, so just tell them that you dont want to pay the $160 and instead want to pay more. I think that they will take your money.
I dont remember the name of the shop, but I will track it down over the weekend...

A good hi end shop in the Valley is Sunshine located on Van Nuys Blvd., just south of the 101 on the east side of the street.

They don't play around and do it right the first time and know exactly what you want in terms of make and model. It's about $160-180.

They are busy, so make an appointment or take your chances. That's all they do is tint, tint, tint.

Sun Shield?

I think you might mean, Sun Shield perhaps.

I got my tint with moleskin (to prevent scratching) done there on a C class. Charged about $160-180. Tint still looks new after over a year. I can recommend them with confidence. An appointment is a good idea. StickerCity is across the street so you can have something to do while the car is getting done. StickerCity does clear bras and do light tinting/protection.

For those recommending Sun Shield...
Is that the place that always has a yellow Lotus parked outside?

I always pass them and never knew. Thanks.

You are probably right.

Megaplex on san fernando rd and western, in between glendale/burbank. I always get my cars done there. They did a good job on the windshield too.
They have a contract with BMW and nissan of glendale, they do alot of the brand new showroom cars for the too. That should be enough assurance that the work is good. Cost is usually under $200.00

That "high end shop" that is listed a couple post up will charge you more for the same film listed on there website, megaplex has the same film. You also live in La Canada, I live in Tujunga so Burbank/glendale is close by.

do any of these shops go all the way to the edge of the glass using a file, or is there the standard gap tha most shops leave.
