Cls55/63 Fontana 3/22

Hello Everyone,

Our next private rental is scheduled on March 22, 2008. It is a Saturday, so
it will be less of a hassle for most. It is also the day before Easter.
Gates open at 8am, and racing ends at 5pm.

There has been an increase on the daily rental rate, so there is a slight
increase for each racer. Cost to participate per vehicle/driver is now $115.
We need at least 80 participants by March 8th (2 weeks prior to the event).
Otherwise, the event will be cancelled.

Everybody will need to pre-register or pre-pay their tech card
(www.alternativemotoring.com). Space is limited to 100 vehicles only, so
don't wait at the last minute to register.

Take care, and drive safe.

Oh, this will be AWSOME !!!! :D

This is how close all 3 of our cars were:
12.30 @ 113.6
12.34 @ 113.9
12.35 @ 113.7

You just can't get any closer than that...... well except for Juicee's run vs Rarfinancial were they launched together, stayed neck to neck the entire track length ,and then crossed the line together exactly at the same time :rolf:

Juicee, stay away from my title...... you're already the #1 CLS63 in the world :D

rarfinancial 02-15-2008 11:27 AM

Hey, Mo :y Those #'s sure are close. Now, you know asking Juicee to stay away from your #1 63 spot is  as a matter of fact, I just received a HIGHLY CLASSIFIED memo entitled
" HOW TO TAKE DOWN MO's 63" for dummies:rolf::rolf: As you all may know our Fontana days have been far from perfect racing conditions, The 1st time we had wild fires, smoke, ashes and lots of heat. The second time, we had a very bad rain storm that shut us down. The Third time we had extremely high winds
40 - 60 mph .. Even with all these set backs we have some how managed to break records. WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT? Will RARFINANCIAL surprise us all again? will Juicee pop up in the end with another come back? or will MO',s Ghost rider trap another 300+ mph run? (which just goes to show ,some strang things going on with MO's 63) :rolf::nix:. One thing you can all count on is this will be another GREAT EVENT :y:D See you all there.....

MB_Forever 02-15-2008 01:07 PM

LOL.... :) I completely forgot about my 316 mph pass :D

Rick, our Fontana luck and experience was actually a little worse than you mentioned. The first time where you said there was a lot of dust and ash...... that was actually the 2nd time (but first for you).

1st Time: Extreme heat and humidity (91 F)
2nd Time: Dust, ash, and heat (88 F)
3rd Time: Rain and wind storm.
4th Time: Okay temp (67 F), but very strong head wind.

But despite the bad luck and weather conditions, it was absolutely fun, very enjoyable, and worth every minute to hang out with you guys.... :y

Hopefully, we'll have better luck on the 22nd :)

It will be fine, we will adapt, and we will once again all be exposed to the same condition. Its been a long time since we have seen Mr. Financial, I sometimes wonder if he has installed the V-16. His team had mentioned the possibility of adding a 5.4 L v8 to power the rear axle and keeping the 6.2 to power the front axle. I wonder if the silence has been related to this secret install?
