****Need Some HELP!****

Well today I was driving in my car normally (saving some gas). Then out of nowhere I hear this loud bang behind my head! I turn around and my headrest's (driver & passenger) shot up! Im guessing its some kind of roll over protection device.. Does anyone know how to bring the headrests back down? I don't want to take the car into the dealer... Thanks In advance..

i am confused because if i read what you are saying , you are talking about your head rest..which is controlled by the seat like buttons on ur doors, go to the head part and push it down to make it go down.
If you are talking about rear head rest then there is a botton on the center dash that makes both of them drop down...

I think he is talking about the Active restraint system, which would activate during an accident. My installer had to turn it off when he installed my TV's because they did the same thing. I will try to call him and get some info for you, but he is very hard to get these days.

Yea, The Active restraint system... Its not the whole headrest that shoots up.. Its the rear plastic side of the headrest jolts up. I can still move the headrest up and down. I'll try to take a pic and post it so You guys can see.

Thanks guys.

Checked with my installer and he said, " please don't mess around with it, take it to the dealer". He had to get assistance from the dealer when he triggered it on my car.
By the way, that is a beautiful picture.
