IT'S HERE!

Pix later it's rainy out... but I finally got my '06 55

When I hit the pulse button it blinks and goes off, I never get a massage on either seat. Any idea how to fix?

Also, what's the stock rear tire size? They gave me the car with 3 Pirellis and 1 Kuhmo. I want to replace the Kuhmo... but Tire Rack was looking like $500 PER TIRE??

The car is saying check tire pressure and reset the computer, any advice? I'm overwhelmed by all the buttons :D

The pulse button will do that if there is no weight in the seat. I noticed that one on mine as well.

Sorry, can't help you with the computer reset.

There is weight in the seat... me... and my passenger, neither seats PULSE

How much does service F cost? My car is saying I'm 17 days overdue

Kenny Pollock May 15, 2009 04:08 PM

Called my local MB dealer, they advised service F included oil change, car wash and inspection of everything. $320!! ouch. I'm thinking about doing it though, just because I don't know the history of the car and their inspection might reveal something I don't know/see

I'm under warranty for 4 years/50k miles apparently, and the pulse seats would be covered hopefully.

Next big issue... I need tires! It came with 3 Pirellis and 1 Kuhmo :( Also, one of the 3 Pirellis has a bubble, needs to be replaced. $500 a tire?!?

Stock rear tire size should be 285 30ZR19........Bridgestones are about 325 a piece........

Kenny Pollock May 15, 2009 08:17 PM

Will I notice a huge difference from Pirellis?

DucatiNut May 15, 2009 08:22 PM

If you read the manual it will tell you .......

NJBoy115 May 15, 2009 08:29 PM

I have Bridgestone Potenza's on mine...There the factory tires though, My car only has 9k miles so I havent replaced my tires yet since new. I havent had a problem with them..I like the Bridgestones.

Since you have a mixed set , I would look for used pirelli's to put on yer car.
The rear tires are the critical set. Here are some near ne Pirelli's for 160 per tire
rear is 285/30/19
front 255/35/19

The exwife had Pirellis on her SLK55. I wasnt impressed with the wear factor. Super soft tires for sure!

Those tires are near NEW 9/32 new they are 10/32 so 1mm of wear!!

That is an amazing deal and those rears make the car smooth and hard to spin off the road. Yes they do wear quick. Precisely why you buy used tires you save alot and still get 8-12k out of em

Just so you know anything under 50% should be under 100/ per tire, no reason to pay 500. each

Oh yeah CAR LOOKS NICE

When you buy go to manufacturers web site(tire) check the ratings and load, you want A-AAA ZR or Y rated and 1500-1800 lb load tread wear the lower the number the faster the wear out 80 soft 300 hard

Those on ebay listed as Pzero , those are top of the line summer tires. Rosso is what I have which has a slightly more weather oriented tread.

Tires are something you definately want to make a good decision.
