I'd go with varying speed around 60-70mph on the freeway. I will most like not do any jack rabbit starts.

Since you have the 030 package, at 1000 mi, the LSD rear end oil requires changing. This is a no charge service by MB. Check you MB booklets, I think this is mentioned in the booklet about maintenance.

Other than that, the AMGs are bullet proof. Just enjoy and drive it like you stole it (after break-in).

Some will tell you to drive it like you stole it from new.

Test show you usually end up with a tighter motor that way.

I don't do baby it break ins.

Has always worked wonders. A nice regimen of beat on it, rest it, seat it, beat on it, etc etc ... works wonders.

Since it had around 80 test miles on it when I bought it I guess it got beat then. I've driven it another 220 miles in sport mode no jack rabbit starts no over 4000 rpm drives and no long freeway trips. Now for the next 700 miles I will drive it in Comfort mode with easy shifts and 100% intown trips. After 1000 miles I will drive it like I stole it and take it in for its first check at 1800 miles when the LSD fluid is also ready to be changed. Hope that makes for a solid engine breakin. Thanks guys for the help.

Congrats on the car. Are you happy with the ride from the 030 package suspension?
