So when I hit the button to unlock the car, I hear some ticking under the hood. To the best I can tell, its coming from a part located just below and in front of the coolant reservoir. I took a picture and video to dealer downtown la and they gave me a part number 211-470-01-16. Its called a Damping Container. Has to do with the fuel system. I'm not so sure exactly what it does so if someone can give me sone insight, that would be great!
That said, the ticking is pretty loud and goes on for a little bit of time. It sounds to me, with what I know about motors, that its probably malfunctioning as its loud and keeps going.
Has anyone had this issue before? Am I aiming at the right part before I decide to go down a rabbit hole of replacing parts? I don't want to pay for the dealership to "figure it out" since that could get very expensive. It looks like its probably simple to change so I just want to be sure I'm on the right track.
