I hope that wasnt ChrisC55!!!
wow the guy in the C55 just couldnt launch... this 350Z is in my town, time to call him out and put his S/C V6 vs my S/C V6!!!

this is just sad...
the Z did not even have a blower, it was straight intake, headers, exhaust...
The Z pulled the C55 from the line, due to terrible reaction time and launch of the C55. He should at least brake torqued to get the wheels spinning a bit. I wonder if he has Sport mode on and the DSC turned off, A/C off.
from the roll the C55 guy took off slightly before the Z and the torque won the race, if not it would of been a bit closer.
If you read the post, the Z runs mid 13's which is amazing for the mods he has. I remember reading about the vortec Supercharges which produce 350rwhp to 400rwhp, but still only run low 13's and maybe high 12's. By the way, I own a 03 G35 as well, so I used to read their posts at G35.com, 350z.com and freshalloy.com
if you are ever read this post (you C55 driver) please learn how to launch at a light stop.

Whatever... Everyone including 350z owners knows that a 350z stock is not close to stock C55 in a straight line.
I know nothing about mods he had for the 350z but still in two of those runs something was a miss.
I can understand getting a jump, but pulling away like that...

I saw you post at the 350z.com site, nice job! I have seen your work my friend and I know this would be a nice easy kill for the beast in Miami...

I hear you...
but remember .5 seconds is not alot of time when you are asleep at a greenlight like the guy on the video....
once you are behind 3 or 4 car lenghts, it would be tough to make up. You will need to hit over 100 to real him in and pass him.
headers, intake and full exhaust can add up to some nice gains... and remember those cars weigh about 250+lbs less than a C55.
Please note: The Z must of had 2 people to film the race. I wonder how many people the C55 had. If he was alone... it just goes to show you how poorly his launch was...

nonetheless, the C55 did loose and the 350Z did win!!!
Its ok, the 350Z there will run into the equal or better driver in due time!!!

Wow, that's a shame to see the C55 be humiliated like that b/c it's the 350Z guys that always want to race me and it's always an easy kill for me. If they insist on racing me, I look at it as I'm educating the 350z crowd on what an AMG is and what it can do.
One kill I do remember is a guy with his girlfriend, trying to show her how his 350z was "faster" than mine. She too got an education in the school of AMG! I even laid off the gas during the run, let him catch up and then stomped on the gas, passing him again.
Fair is fair though...that C55 lost so good run for the 350z! It was a kill and that car is pretty quick stock so any mod would give it a good boost 0-60, I would think.

miamiC55- how do you like the cayenne S? my wife's X5 is due in Feb 2006 and was thinking of getting her the cayenne S. is it pretty sporty and fun to drive. i really like the way X5 drives but want to get something different this time around. TIA for info.
