C55 W202 runs low 13's at English town!
The slips are so light that when I scan them they hardly come out.I'm going to try and make a copy on my copier and see if I can scan the copy.By the way, here are my results:All runs were done on pump gas!:
1st run RT ..... .500 60' ......2.041 330 ......5.684 1/8 ......8.682 mph...... 82.57 1000... 11.242 1/4...13.398 mph...102.52 2nd run RT .161 60' 2.174 330 ..5.860 1/8 ...8.881 mph...82.05 1000..11.453 1/4...13.614 mph..103.46 1st run was in D3-D4 shift 2nd run was D4 all the way. Traction control was off on both runs. Not bad for the first time ever taking this car too the track.I was nervous and did not know what to expect.I was not to happy with the trap speed in the first run but I believe the car slowed down once I shifted from D3 to D4. Like I said, all runs were done on Pump gas. With more practice she will be in the high 12's with pump gas!! In first race I ran against a 2004 911 carrera S.He redlighted but ran a 12.96@109.6 with a 2.185 60ft RT /-.057 2nd race I beat a 2005 XJ-R He ran a 13.673@101.70 with a 2.025 60ft RT/.318 I'm determined to make her run 12's. :y :zoom: |
AWESOME NUMBERS!!! :y

nice!!!!! :)

is your car manual? cause if its auto your not just going to jump into the 12's without any mods
|
Nice job! Your trap speeds are a little low relative to your times, IMO. It seems like you could definitely drop some time off of your 60 foot. Under ideal conditions with a perfect launch, it seems like you could probably get a high 12 quarter.
|
CoolCarl,
Doesn't your car go up to around 105 mph plus in 3rd gear. Maybe that 12 sec. 1/4mile could be had by not shifting into 4th. Jeff |
cool :y
but I seriously thought it was going to be faster than just low 13's cuz that's stock C32 territory and your W202 C55 conversion should be faster with the E55 motor :nix: :nix: |
Outstanding! :y

I'm going to try running with my 17" mono's next time so that I'll definitely have the tru 3.07 gear ratio.I'm assuming that that may help at least by lowering my ET's.I will also try running the car in D4 and or D next time to see what happens. I think D3 may be the best gear to drive the car in though. Thanx guys! Shootin for 12's.Wish me luck!

Not everyone that has a C32 can make it run low 13's.I've seen mid to high 13's for quite a good # of first timers. Also when I put the car back on the dyno I'm going to look at the A/F ratio to see if my C43 SW needs some more custom tuning. That is also a trial run because remember we are making the C43 S/W think the car is a E55. But still, not bad I say!I just wish the trap speed was higher but like Speedy mentions and I mentioned that could be because of my early shift from D3 to D4. |

Your times are totally respectable. Just figure out what is killing your trap speeds. |

108-112 MPH for high 12s. Even though your 60ft time is pretty high, you must be getting good traction to get those times. Do you have a LSD in your car?

What would have been an Ideal MPH for my time? |
if your car is lowered, get some camber arms from jeff (speedybnz), correct the camber to stock and i gaurantee it will cut down your 60ft times!!
|
C43: ET is very good, but your MPH does appear to be low. You should be in 105-110 range.
Are you at the end of the 3rd gear at the end of the quarter? |

how is a 2.0 60ft high? thats as low as he will get unless he puts on drags and then pull 1.9 ...what kind of 60fts are you getting? |
that is a good effort :y

As for my personal experience, I am a talentless launcher. I don't think that I have ever broken the two second barrier, and my average is about a 2.2. This, however, does not seem to stop me from lecturing others about the subject. :) |

My understanding is that talented drivers have been able to get 1.9, 1.8 or even a high 1.7 second 60 foot time out of their 32s or 55s on street tires (see doofoo's posts on the stickied drag times thread). My point was simply that, if Carl wants to break into the twelves with his current setup, he is going to have to absolutely ace the one major aspect of the run which he can control (the 60 foot time).
