Mounted the Toyos on my rear wheels today (not the front yet coz I just discovered both front rims are CRACKED! ..probably from hitting potholes and crap....)
my Toyos 255 rears really reduced wheelspin a lot compared to the 245 Pzeros...!!
good stuff!

yup!
Luckily I bought the Tire and Rim insurance from the dealer when I purchased my car....I already maxed out the payout for claiming tires lol! Now Im on to claim rims...which havent maxed out...yet...hopefully...
But does anyone know where to order our stock AMG rims? and at what price each for the front rims?
feedback appreciated!!

I find them quiet and predictable at breakaway, the cost and treadwear are nice too.
My first experience with the Goodyears was on my R32, the F1 GS-D3's are a great all around performance tire IMHO, of course if wet traction is not an issue the Yokohama seem to be a better choice according to the tests.
Of course it's all about personal preference, unforyunately test driving tires is very difficult, if not impossible.

the t1-r toyos are the best out there right now for wear and performance, i just put a new set on a month ago after having several 19" sets of the t1-s proxes as well, highly recommend them, the t1-r is a noticably quieter due to some minor tread edge changes

Anyone has any comments regarding the T1-R? The recent tire testing from Car & Driver said that the T1-R are too soft?! I am buying the tires soon, anyone?

Cars and boats!
for street performance... T1-R is excellent!!! I just mounted a set in the rear...they definately have loads of grip once you wear off the first 200miles of tread.

Does it mean those T1-R tires are too soft when you drive them on the tracks and excellent / acceptable when you drive on the city? How about the gripping power when it rains because my OEM Pilot Sport sucks.
I don't want to base the information from Car and Driver and spending too much on other tires.

However, another alternative would be the Pirelli Nero.
Please update.

B.T.W. are they self-reinforced tires?
