yup...
have the dealer run a electric current check on the pump. it's free if you still have the warranty. around $600 if you don't. check one of the threads on this. someone said the Ford Lightning uses the same I/C pump which cost 1/2 the price at Ford dealership.

No, the check engine light will not come on. There will not be enough fuel pressure at times, so you will have temporary acceleration problems (ie no power). Eventually, the fuel pump will stop working and you won't be able to get your car started. At least in my case.

I hope its easy. I am not that good of a mechanic. lol. But I was reading up on 1fasts idea of the lighting pump. My only concern is adding the new connectors or splicing into the old ones. Electrical things makes me nervous

Yo, I just got my C32 back from the dealer for the same problem, losing power at high speeds. They replaced my intercooler, b/c it was reading the intake air temperatures too high b/c the coolent pump wasn't working for the intercooler , or something. Anyways it was under warranty, and didn't cost me a dime. Now my car drives like a dream again

WOW THE POWER IS BACK. What a difference. I change the intercooler pump out like everyone said and wow what a difference. I used the intructions that 1fast come up with and it takes no time to do. The only thing that took the longest was those damn mb clamps that they use for the hoses. I hate those things. But I took my old pump off replaced it with the ford one and bam kicking *** again. Thanks everyone for the responses and help...

I did use the same coolant. its the mercedes benz coolant. I picked it up at my local mb dealership. cost me about 17 dollars. And all i did was just refill resevoir. Didnt have any problems with air bubbles.
