I really did not get to it yet. I checked out the switch but it's not the switch. I still have extended warranty so I might take it in or get some aftermarket ones, dunno yet. As soon as I find out what it is I'll post it

After market????? WHY? you have warranty. Its not like after market will be better or increase power. I would just take it to the dealer. just my opinion. Good luck with it. I have the same problem (driver seat only) no warranty, I have yet to do anything about it!

Heated seats problem

Hey guys, I have the same issue with my drive side seats - they don't work. I know that the Extended Warranty does not cover the heated seats (at least in Canada - confirmed by dealer and MB Canada).

I have to check if mine covers it too. But I won't take it to the dealer since the extended warranty only pays $40 for labor ( Have no clue who charges $40 an hour for labor these days) I take it to may local MB expert who charges $80 vs. dealer @$120. Once I do the work I will post the part #s and $

My heated seats just stopped working. The lower portion of the seat barely heats up. The back part works fine, and the buttons still work. I took it in to the dealer, and they ordered two new lower portions of the seat. $750 each + labor! Fortunately it was covered under warranty.

I get confused though, will they keep the same leather cover? Because mine is two toned (blue/black) or will they just give me a /black/black seat

I had mine fixed just today as well. The problem was the front part (closer to knees) didn't work while the rear part (near butt) got really hot. I think th dealer said it was a short. They replaced the entire lower seat. Not sure the cost since it was covered under warranty.

They will replace the cover as it has an integrated heating element. If you have blue/black now, then they will replace with blue/black.

Damn, I should have read this earlier. I just bought a used 04 C32 and the warranty just ran out a few days ago. Both seats only produce heat on the back and not the bottom parts. Mercedes Australia only offer extended warranty on new purchase.

i had the opposite problem,
at one point the driver seat in my car use to get too hot, hot to a point that it burned your leg. so i had that look after and the dealer replaced the cushion and heating pad along with the wires.

At least you have a loaner!!! The crap local dealer here has no loaners and no guaranteed appointments. You just drop your car off and wait for a call. Could be days, could be weeks before its done. If I wasn't a 4 hr drive to the next dealership I would never go back!

Anyway, it was under the impression heated seats was a standard feature too.

How come British bands struggle to make it in America - and there's three of us UK C32 owner taking over this thread in one day??

Pretty sure it is just 12 months but worth asking your dealer for a goodwill gesture.

If that doesn't work call DCUK Customer Services in Milton Keynes, and say you're dissapointed. Should get you some result, even if it's only a contribution.

Sorry to hear about seat heater. Might be worth asking for a goodwill gesture given warranty just expired, worth a go?

Another get together would be good. Just don't ask for biscuits if they cost £16!!

Hang on a minute. Quarter past seven on a Friday night?? Shouldn't you be working??!!

I had my driver seat replaced under factory warranty. The light came on, but the seat did not heat. New one works great.

the seat cushion "seat bottom" should also warm up, if it does not u have a problem and it may be under warranty it may not.
i just came across this problem with my car but on the passenger side and with my car it was not under warranty.
