What is this used C55 worth?
I am thinking about buying a 2005 C55 in pewter and 20k miles. Has most options (nav, xenon, rear shade, etc), 19 months left on original warranty (until 11/08), 7 months on the 30 month, 30k maintenance plus program (would cover the $1500+ brake/rotor job that is coming up) How much do you think I should offer?
The owner does have a fancy radar detector installed and admitted to hitting 165 mph
Should I be worried that his "harder" driving of the car will end up in earlier or unusual drivetrain repairs?

High 30's, maybe 38K if it is in clean condition.
I don't think that you can draw any conclusions on the fact that he has a radar detector and admitted to hitting 165. I have a radar detector and laser jammer on my C55 and have a propensity to drive fast. However, I'm extremely cautious to only floor it when the oil temps are up and I also rarely do kickdowns. So you really can make any inference on that sort information. Maybe he was very cautious, maybe not...

Get the VIN# and ask MB for the service report (or get the owner to get it for you), it shows details of every time an MB dealer has touched the car so will give an insight on any unusual breakdowns/issues the car has had.
