Service Campaign-just what was done?
SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2006030011
MODEL 170/199/203/211/215/219/220/230/463 AMG
MODEL YEAR 2002-2006
REPLACED SECONDARY AIR INJECTION PUMP RELAY
DC 59 950 01 7
FW PERFORMED CAMPAIGN 2006030011 COMPLETED REPLACEMENT OF RELAY AND PERFORM ME UPDATING PROGRAMING
FP-NUMBER 002-542-26-19-64
Sound pretty cryptic to me, but I'm trying to get a fix as to how much of the most talked about problems with the C32's have already been address by the previous owner. Reading anything about 'air injection', 'cooling' or 'control modules' peaks my interest.
Thanks
PS: I thought it was interesting to see how they list the 'model year' as 2002 thru 2006.

hi dude - did you ever get the shaking at idle fixed cause mine does that and no dealership ive been to (and its now 6) have felt it was a problem - they all said its normal! rubbish I say - just wondering if youd got it fixed at all?
I have an appointment with the MB dealer today. Now that I'm positive I have warranty left, I plan on exploiting the coverage. Started on a list last nite! I'm wondering if I can get my Valeo radiator swapped out under warranty? So far I've got the seat controls working in reverse, the constant battery drain, and now,.... this S/C concern.
Thanks guys!

Ok,... If I'm understanding you, your telling me to force it to set the air temp limit higher than it is so that the S/C stays active longer as the temp rises? Sorta like replacing a 15 amp fuse with a 30 amper to keep the circuit from tripping so frequently? If you say yes to the anaology,... then I kinda got it! If you say 'NO', then it's confirmed,... I'm lost!

If it does not set the code, then the tech could waste days trying to figure out what is the cause, because, they will say "ooh, we have never seen the IC pump for the supercharger fail". Typical BS.

OIC,... gotcha!
Well like I said, I had a 3:00 service appointment today. There was someone on it for at least 2 hours straight. (I like the way they assign a technician to you.) Anyway,... after they disconnected the diagnostic wires and computers, they began pulling things apart. I watched them take the shroud off but I had to leave. They gave me a ride home in one of their G class shuttles and agreed to pick me up when the repairs are done. It's still there. They told me they were addressing a suspected problem with the Super Charger and would be replacing some Control Modules. That's all I could get out of them. When I asked of a projected cost to me,... they said it would be covered under warranty but promised to call if an uncovered problem was discovered.
I will describe in as much detail as possible what they did and what affect it should and does have when I pick my car up. But be patient with me,... I'm very new at this and don't know all the jargon!

Anyway, I gotta be there at 7:30 a.m. and do some extended driving with the tech. In a sick kind of way, I'm hoping the Super Charger itself is shot. They've already replaced the clutch, serp belt, pully and I/C pump,... and it's still going AWOL when it wants.
