06 CLS 500 vs. 05 C55
So, I have had the C55 (every option) for less then a year, but yet again a smoking deal on another Benz. What do you guys think....for a little extra cash ie less then $10k I can get an 06 CLS 500 with 4k miles...every option, etc. It looks cool, but I am worried I will miss the AMG.
Thoughts?

yeah
I agree...a 55 or 63! But the CLS500 is a smoking $$ deal. That is the only reason it is a possibility. Still in the air about it...I love the C55.

You will have way better trade value and public resale value with the CLS500 so take it and trade for another AMG the C-AMG are loosing out to much on the market in trade, public or dealer value while the CLS has a better hold.

There are great AMG/V12 deals to be had out there. The '04 E55s are slipping under $40k......

Personally I think that most to all non-AMG Mercedes Benz will feel that way but it sounds like a great deal and he can turn the capital gain to eventually get another AMG car.

your neighbor must be used to driving quick cars. I dont see a car with a lil over 300 hp be a "turtle." I drive a CLK55 and my gf has a scion xA. 362 hp vs 103 hp. Not much of a difference in NYC traffic...

And while we know AMG models depreciate, do they really depreciate at a faster percentage than non-AMG MB's? Because of their exclusivity, I didn't think that they did...
Personally, I'd keep the C55 and the $10k in the bank (or invested), and eventually put it toward another AMG down the road, like a 2-3 year old C63, E55 or 63, or CLS 55 or 63 - but maybe that's just me...
