MP3 playing ability debate. Fact or myth...?

I thought this was a difference b/w 06 and 05, or maybe 05.5's or something.
My 06 w/COMAND plays MP3 cd's in the single disc and the changer. Single disc allows you to browse by folders, changer does not.

yes mine works too
I have 06 with command and I am playing a 300+ song MP3 disk in the main unit. I haven't tried it in the changer.
If you want to PM me I would be willing to mail you my disk to see if it works in your unit.
Best of luck....

06 C55
Just to add another data point to this thread, I have an 06 C55 with Comand and the 6 disc changer. Also present is the aux in plug in the glove compartment.
Car is also equipped with the "Logic 7" system and Sirius.
The changer plays MP3's that I have burned long ago simply by copying them to the disc and hitting "burn disc". I use(d) a Mac Powerbook to do this but no special software. The disc is slammed full of data with no room left on it.
The aux in plug also works with my ipod but, of course, doesn't show the tracks and COMAND does not control the ipod in this configuration. The track information for the MP3's does appear though.

in-dash dosen't work if you have audio-20, it does work if you have command
even with the CD-Changer that CAN read mp3 CD's, the Audio-20 head unit isn't able to process anything other than a normal CD. The CD-Changer is what is fooling the head unit to think it's a normal audio CD. That's why you're limited to 99 mp3's.

MYSTERY SOLVED!
I purchased a different CD Changer, model # 3520, and it solved the problem. My C55 was built in 12/04, and it came with the model # 3330 CD changer, which would not recognize or play MP3 CD's.
Today I installed the model 3520 changer, and it works beautifully. I now can play MP3 CD's with no problem, and the Comand head unit will read and display the file names from the disc.
The swap took approximately 10 minutes, simply by removing 1 torx screw and sliding the unit out. Very simple! Disconnect the 2 plugs on the back, then reconnect to the new unit and you're done.
I found this newer CDC on ebay, and only paid $125 for it. It came out of a 2006 C-class W203. Do a search for "Mercedes CD Changer, 2006, W203" on ebay and you should find several. Simply make sure it's model # 3520.
I appreciate everyone's input and offers to help along the way. Now we have a definitive answer on how to resolve this issue.

PS - you can probably still sell your old changer for $125 on ebay!
