i wouldn't be surprised if it's from a dealership...but i paid less than half that when i took it to an independant shop. shop around and get price quotes!

"One Man. One Engine."
If including a brake flush, that would be about right from the dealer

Flexible Service System - B-Service
What we do:
- Change your vehicle's engine oil and filter
- Replace the dust filter in all SLK, CLK, C-Class and E-Class models,
and in S-Class and SL-Class models without the active charcoal filter
- Replace windshield wiper inserts
- Inspect and rotate tires
- Lubricate and inspect throttle linkage
- Ensure the parking brake, steering play, headlamps and exterior lamps,
warning and indicator lamps, horn, windshield/headlamp wiper and washer
systems, seat belts, and backrest lock (S-Class only) are functioning correctly
- Inspect tires and check tire pressure (including spare)
- Inspect brake pad thickness and disc condition
- Inspect front axle ball joints and Poly-V-belt
- Check and correct all fluid levels
- Reset your vehicle's FSS counter
*Model year 1998 through 2006 vehicles are equipped with the Flexible Service System (FSS)

Seems like $50 in parts and a few hours in your garage doing it yourself will save you alot of cash. I will never take my C32 for service A or B just for them to change the oil and filter, top off the fluids and "inspect" the car! Shoot i can inspect it myself for free!!
Plus my mechanic resets the FSS counter for me for free!

Yup, but really, a vaction to Laguna Niguel? I hope you are planning on staying at the Ritz-Carlton or the St. Regis. Otherwise, there is not much there there.

PM me if you want any local scoop.

Great info..... Do you have a list of the other services as well? It'd be nice to make a list of Service A, B, C, D, E, F, and G for reference and make it a sticky.

Yup, staying at the RC. Not going to do much other than relax at the resort for several days, then head off to SD for the next part of the trip.
