Lets just say i did not fair well. not even worth posting the slip. It was 95 degrees out at race time (9pm!) and the car felt great all though i was caught sleeping at the tree one time for a world record .809 reaction time lol. and still killed a new mustang GT. My best time was 13.44 thats worse than my best time stock 13.2. granted it was 68 degrees out when i first went to the drags months ago. Then I ran a blistering c55 world record 13.66 at 108mph? WTF!!!!! that must be the highest trap speed for a 13.66 in a C55. I didnt feel so bad after a new Viper ran a 12.76! I seemed to hook up well and i never lifted So it just must have been the temp that was keeping all the cars numbers high. Track conditions were ok, other than 95 degrees out. a bit slick (or windy) in the top end of the track.
So Calimax and I called it quits and headed to the bar to drink, and we ran into a guy with a new Lexus IS-F that told us he ran an 11.9 1/4 mile on the dyno..WTF! Yeah I know he was a moron. So not to steel (member) CALIMAX thunder, he raced him in his C32 at a stop light and beat the IS-F by a car even with his S/C clutch problems.
All in all fun time. Thought my car was sucking to much hot air at low speeds to put down any good numbers until top end. 108mph for a 13.66 is odd. HEAT KILLS HORSEPOWER!

Definitely. These cars especially don't like heat and humidity. Even though there is a guy here who has ran 12.5@111mph in his W203 C55 at MIR in 90 degree weather with DR's. After each run he would let his car cool down for a lonnnnng time.

I was able to pull a 12.4@112 but heat was a issue so purchased the thermostat from PTE and it was a lot better. After that it was traction problems so I got an LSD but now I am waiting to track it again.

Hooleyboy I know it could be dissappointing but hey heat does kill power. I ran my car nonstop and couldnt crack the 12s and my launch could have been better. I had 108 traps also but other factures kepted me from hitting 12s but hey don't worry and practice your launch.

Well I know C55asleep? Bought cams but his time was without them his other mods got him there.

the 13.44 is better than the 13.2 considering a TWENTY DEGREE TEMP difference.
Heat kills hp. We will be running at 95 degrees on Friday , I think I can beat the Vipers time but not by much.
When it is that hot just work on yer 60ft and reaction times, or run cars that you know what or appx what they run so you can better gauge the effect of weather
