Dyno: AMS Pulley results

13.2 @ 108mph granted it was 101 degrees out when i ran that time. I ended up tieing my best time. my best time from before was at 60 degrees out stock. I bet i can get into the 12's on a cold or cool night. I was mostly running 13.4's at 108-109mph. some wheel spinning too.
Traps sounds like the 12s are very possible but something is holding you back. It may be the increased torque causing much needed traction to slip so your times will also. Practice your launches and consider a Quaife LSD later so your traction slip becomes minimum.

Honestly it just sounds like your rubber is letting you down. Upgrade the tires. Everyone is raving about Direzza Z1 star specs, I personally have not tried them but people say for both dry traction & cornering feedback they are one of the best if not the best tire out right now. Anything continental makes isn't that great, they just aren't a great performance tire brand.

Don't think it will get lower without SC. Though I've read posts that cams would bring it high 12's.

Thanks guys, for excellent info concerning the pulley upgrade. General question, will my ECU continue to "adapt" even though it has the Powerchip flash? I'm looking to do this pulley upgrade - thanks.

Yes, should adapt just fine, a software upgrade improves the performance but it doesn't eliminate the stock adaptability of the ECU, just changes certain parameters within the ECU itself (air fuels, timing etc).

Out Of Control!!
A few questions:
1) Is this crank pulley the same size as stock, just lighter?
2) Does it have the markings for how many degrees ATDC on the pulley?
3) Anyone else have dyno/track results before/after the pulley. You got some good gains and I appreciate the effort but you cant make a judgement call based on an n=1.
Thanks

What am I missing here. THe pulley is the same size as stock but since it's 3-4 lbs lighter you're seeing an increase in torque?
No real HP gains and I'm supposed to pay $500+ for this? And some of you think that this is a great mod?
WTF?
Why not Evosport underdrive pulleys for $3-400 instead and get approx. 12-15HP?

I am not looking for peak numbers, i'm looking for area under the curve.
I dont want to underdrive my waterpump, doesnt seem very smart to me. Its what keeps your engine cool

RENNtech C32 AMG
or the A/C, Power steering, it's heavier as is with bigger rims, and especially the Alternator! With all the electronics on MB's thats the last thing you want to produce less power, and if you have a system (SUB WOOFER for the newbes) fogetaboudit!

"meat under the curve" is FAR more important for the street & acceleration than some peak HP number. Plus efficiency increase pays for itself in gas savings, I HATE these gas prices... ugh...

Do you have the dyno sheets of this modification? I am looking to get one for my SLK350. I am looking for the dyno chart you are referring to but its no up in your post. if you have chart that would be nice. thanks
