100,000 miles on C55 -Thank You AMG!
Hi everyone,
Just passed 100K mark on my C55 in the past month. Actually my wife did the honors since she's a primary driver on C right now. She barely puts any miles on it so we won’t see any crazy numbers adding on top of 100K anytime soon.
Overall - great experience with my beloved C55. Every mile was loved and enjoyed beyond description. There are countless memories filled with excitement, anticipation and simple WOWs We decided to keep the car indefinitely so after my wife gets an SUV of sorts I can have C as a weekend toy.
Thanks AMG for a great run

As you can imagine with amount of driving this car had in the past 3,5 years
it did have some problems. It's hard for me to say if they were isolated instances or excessive-driving related. For instance MB had to change sparkplug's wires on one side of the engine because excessive heat in the engine bay was causing some sort of electro-magnetic interference with ECU and car would go into the limp mode. Keep in mind it happened during Chicago summer that can be quite hot. I also had fuel pump replaced. One of my xenon lights went off at about 70K and I changed both of them because colors didn't match. I am probably missing something but other than that other things were just regular scheduled maintenance - belts, brakes etc. My C does eat some 1 quart of oil every 5,000 miles but I wasn’t able to determine if that's abnormal. I think I went through 6 or 7 sets of back tires in that time but I guess that's expected

I didn't have any problems with the alternator. I will check with my friend who's a MB tech later on today and let you know if he's aware of any problems with alternators.
P.S. most of the work was covered since I bought extended warranty till 100K

Only 7 sets of tires? I'm on my second set...but I only have 10,XXX miles and the C doesn't see winter!
Congrats! I'm starting to dislike the w204 interior more and more, maybe one day I'll reach the land mark with my C55!
