Who's coming to Willow Springs on the 1st?

Saturday, February 1st will be another track lesson at Willow Springs Raceway. To kick off the new year, lessons will be only $399 for the entire day of driving (As I've explained before, this is not like other lessons that provide 5 20 minute sessions, this is literally as much driving as you can handle). We will have instructors there to provide as much one-on-one instruction (both in the car and classroom) as you'd like. Like always, gourmet breakfast and lunch is included.

Do you ever get many MB guys at one of these events.

Mach430 Jan 15, 2003 12:55 PM

The event is restricted to 20-25 drivers, so the track does not get crowded. On average, we usually get around 3-4 MB's. But Mercedes has just now gotten into the performance market, and of those owners, how many could you picture at the track?

Half of the school is usually made up of high-end cars: Ferrari 360 Challenge, Ferrari 360 GT, Ferrari 360/Maranello, Porsche Cup, Porsche Turbos, etc... The remaining is usually BMW and other cars. When a Mercedes goes out and performs well, they all notice! It's almost an insult when your Mercedes passes a Ferrari! ;)

So come out and have fun!

Did that guy with the 3 Ferrari's at the Nov. event count as just one? :D

Mach430 Jan 15, 2003 04:16 PM

Lol, he makes up the 20-25 margin :) He has more than 3! Did you see the RUF 650HP 996 he drove up in? ....and that's just his street car! As soon as his Enzo and Pagani (custom car) come, you will probably see them too!

The $399 is an exclusive MBWorld only price for this event! So make sure you let us know that you were referred through MBWorld.

Ben, you know I really want to go but haven't the time. I wish there were tracks closer to San Diego.

Mach430 Jan 15, 2003 05:18 PM

Heck, I wish it was in my backyard! It's about 1.5 hrs from Orange Country, and 2.5 hrs from San Diego. There are hotels in the area. You could always get a room the night before, and that way not have to drive far in the morning.

Finally got the flyers back...

PLEASE!!! be sure to let me know when his Zonda will be there

Mach430 Jan 16, 2003 02:30 AM

Lol! There's no way to know until he comes, but I have yet to see a car of his that is dissappointing... His next Pagani is actually being built fully custom just for him! So it's like a track lesson and mini car show in one event!

How about spectators? How much do we have to pay if we are just there to watch?

Mach430 Jan 20, 2003 01:01 PM

You're welcome to come and watch, but if you're going to eat with us, you will need to pay for the food ($30).
