CLK 63 AMG FRONT Bumper retrofit - C55

I know that this has been covered already, but i am just about to order the front bumper but need the part numbers for the 2 adapter cables for the foglights, and 2 front brackets for front bolts. Can anyone help please?

crazeazn 02-23-2009 09:36 AM

PM Sunil or (Steve) MBenzNL, they can help you out the quickest.

Thanks it was Steve who informed of the 2 brackets but no part number. I have found out the part number for the wiring harness / adapter line.

There are probably at least 20 other pn's. Go pull a list of EPC. Pe prepare to pay probably at least 3x what you think it will cost to do it properly with all OEM parts.

I'm jealous...you're car is slowly turning into what I wanted to do with mine (030 SLK brakes, CLK63 nose, some other items)

Best of luck to you, make sure to post pics!

Thanks, but don't think it will cost 3 x to do the job properly depends on who you know and what cost the parts can be sourced at.

Thanks, will keep updated once i have been able to source the parts.

I'm speaking from experience as I have done it. Clearly, there is more involved to do it properly than you know, irrespective of the fact that I purchased the parts wholesale. Do your research before making unsupported statements.

Am i wrong, or are these forums suppose to be about exchanging information and helping each other. I asked a question, and was met with a cynical answer from you. Given that you are so experienced and only done a couple of mods i would have thought that you might have been interested in following this mod given that there is so little information available on it. Moreover, i am interested in doing it properly, which is why i asked the question in the first place.

Unlike you I don't feel the need to list everything I've done, I don't waste my time.

I did provide information to help you make a more informed decision which you rebuffed ingorantly. My next answer was prompted by yours noting how cool you were because you evidently know people, insinuating that I paid anything but wholesale which is less than you will pay in the UK; have fun with the VAT. Again you have no evidence to support any of your statements and in fact don't know anything about the conversion.

Further, why would I be all that interested in the thread when I've already done it. Again, do your research before you make unsupportable comments, it's pathetic. Do as I've told you and pull the list on EPC and price it out first and you'll understand.

Klinh 05-11-2009 09:08 PM

Wow...can't wait to see how it turn out !!!

spr 05-11-2009 10:22 PM

I'll go down and take a few pics I guess. I also raised it from a few weeks ago as it was tucked front and rear and was rubbing like a pig in the rear.

Pics kinda suck. This new camera is 8mpx and I dropped it down to 2 so I can upload easier - kinda grainy.

spr 05-11-2009 10:52 PM

I just need to replace the fogs as the idiot put the c55 fogs in and they're not flush. Whatev. Anyone need some c55 fogs? haha. Car has 1 finger all around now. Handles well but needs an adjustable front bar too much oversteer with that eibach. It's set at clk63 bs settings. all around. It drives better than it looks.

crazeazn 05-11-2009 11:05 PM

spr how much for fogs?

spr 05-11-2009 11:09 PM

dunno pm me a reasonable offer. Thanks. Sean

spr 05-11-2009 11:10 PM

Man those pics look like junk scaled down even from 2m

viper501 05-11-2009 11:30 PM

spr - thanks for the pics. looks great. I've searched but haven't seen a definitive answer on what is involved with the 55-63 conversion other than the cover.

rockjock 05-12-2009 11:17 AM

looks good-let us know how the final fitment is-great colour on that car!

spr 05-12-2009 12:52 PM

What do you mean fitment? I used all factory parts so it's perfect ;)
