Chair & wheel stuck!

Chair & wheel stuck!
Any ideas? The chair and wheel are stuck. When i put the key in i can hear the steering wheel motor whirr like it's stuck and the chair isn't sliding forward into place. My driving position iis a little compromised!

Check your battery. Is your car driven often? The motor does sound funny if it hasn't been driven for days/weeks.
The igntion does NOT use the battery inside the key. Pop out your battery and watch the car still start up.

Yeah. The battery and keys are all fine. It's gonna have to go in for a diagnostic. I can't figure out which fuse does what! But it could be as simple as that. I guess it gives me a chance to check out my local AMG specialist for the first time on something quite trivial.
I've read a few threads about electrical gremlins and having to replace seat 'modules'. Looks like that might be it. The steering wheel is linked to the seat in the dash menu so it retracts to make getting in and out easier. So i hope the wheels ok!
