High Mileage C32's
Lots of C32's for sale now with 100,000k miles on them.
Whats likely to start letting go on a car with that sort of mileage?
Anyone running a C32 with no problems at 150,000 or 200,00!?

At what stage do superchargers start to fail?...or isnt there failure generally due to mileage?...this seems to be the one thing that is very expensive to have to replace...

I just passed 140K miles on mine. I do drive 60-80miles a day rain or shine with it. It has been very reliable with no major problems. However, I did have an extended warranty up to 100K and a very cool service manager at my mb dealer that replaced any part that needed to. And also I work on my cars myself and have addressed anything it needed. I do agree with the higher the mileage the more reliable these cars get, partly because at least in the states most of them have an extended warranty and all the usual issues have been addressed. As you can see on this forum they all have same problems, IC pump, seat module, etc. Other than that you can see there is no other issues with these cars. So if the usual issues have been addressed you should be in pretty good shape. However, it all depends on the cars previous owner, that is why I recommend buying the car from it's owner as oppose to the dealer.

Thanks for that SUPR C.....what I will be looking for is that all important full service history and preferably a main dealer one....just wanted some re-assurance that 100K was nothing to be worried about.

I just hit 101k on my way to work today. The car has been very reliable so far (certainly more so than my w202). I drive it hard and often. The only issue I've had was the IC pump which was a simple DIY fix. I changed the plugs and wires just as a precaution and am about to put new rotors and pads on. I agree with the statement that these cars are more reliable at higher mileage just because most of the bugs have been ironed out by someone else. My car has actually had four owners before me and was stolen twice (Thanks New York), but is no worse for wear. I can truly say that I will be the last owner of this car.

It was before I owned it. The previous owner didn't really go into specifics as to how, but apparently it was from right in front of his house. They recovered it both times with Lowjack. He says there wasn't any damage, but who knows. I know there is some crappy paint work on the car. He didn't even know the car had Lowjack until the police called him. I wouldn't have even known if I didn't get the Carfax and ask him about it. Not sure where he lived, but I met him at his work in College Point, NY to pick the car up.

2002 C32 1987 190E 2.3 334K miles and going
A little bit over 100K now. Replaced IC pump twice.
I purchased the car at 53K in 2005 but previous owner had it completely serviced prior to warranty expiration which included :
* Replaced supercharger ( the plaque mounting surface is there but someone took the signed plaque out!)
* Repair leaks (gasket) in tranny and differential.
* Reconditioned AC system
I still have the original Valeo radiator.
knock on wood but everything seems to be working just fine. not even the power seat drainage. Although sometimes the fuel gage is erratic.
CPS has been replaced. Next to replace is fuel filter.
0 to 60 in 4.7 top speed so far 165mph

I just replaced a my radiator last weekend with the behr, and did a tranny flush. I did replaced the intercooler pump 2 years ago
I only have 67000 miles on my car and runs real strong
I was thinking of selling it but everytime I drive it I just have a grin on my face that I cant wipe off.

C32 AMG
I'm at 115K. Bought it at 25K from a MB mechanic. The car is solid. All the problems have been well documented on this forum.
- IC pump (done about 50K miles ago and no problems since)
- Seat modules went bad
- Passenger door lock actuator.
- Air pump
- Front SAM module went bad
- Preventative tranny flush done at 90K.
- Need new shocks and motor mounts.
These are not major. Although German parts are never cheap. Certainly if you are handy you can save 50% or more!

What is everyone's thoughts about modding a high mileage C32?
say you buy the car with 100k, and deicide you want it to be faster; go with a 185mm pulley, intake, tune, heat exchanger, Ic pump, etc.
do you guys think it will hold up just like any other one?
