WTB: C55 Grill

I'm looking for a C55 grill to throw on my W209. If any of you are looking to get rid of one, please PM me your price. Thanks!

Nice choice IMHO.
I've always wondered why nobody put on a C55 grille onto their w209. With a flat badge, its the best looking grille out there.

That was easy.... thanks Mike!

lol... No problem buddy! Nice when things work out. Off to FedEx right now to send it your way.

Make sure you post pix over here when you've got it done

I'm surprised no one has said anything yet... I'm pretty sure just as the C55 owners have to get the hood latch and support for the 209 when they do the grille swap you will probably have to get the c55 grille support and hood latch also. just an assumption though as I've never seen it done before, but it would make sense.

good luck with the grille swap and I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks!

Will post pics for sure.

In the mean time, you can check out ///Dome's car in Germany before he wrapped it all white.

I always thought it was funny that the w209 guys were putting our grills on their car and we were putting their grills on our cars :y

One other thing......in addition to the grill, you also need that top chrome strip which attaches to the hood. This is a separate piece from the actual grill.

If you use that chrome strip, you will need the C55 hood latch.

Thanks for all the input guys. I know Mike sent me the support bracket and the nuts to attach the top fin to the hood. I'll have to see what I'm working with when it gets here.

Might you guys have the part# for the hood latch?

how much is the support? My grill is barely on my car...nothing bolting it down.

Do you guys have a part number for the C55 hood latch? Anyone also have a pic of it so I see how it works.

When asking Dom on his install, he said he just sawed off some of the plastic to allow the original latch to operate.

It also looks like I'm going to have to drill some holes under my hood. A little bit harder than expected.

I installed the grill about 2 weeks ago, but just decided to take a phone pic now. Anyway, I really happy with it. For the install, I just used a dremel to cut an area out for my hood latch and used a buttload of industrial strength mounting tape. Thanks Mike!
